KIM K AND REGGIE BUSH ARE A WRAP

According to People Magazine, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush have called it quits.
THe couple just came back to the united states from a trip to Africa. The reason behind the split is reportedly because they have not been spending time with each other.
They never get to see each other, ever," the source says. "It's been a long time coming. They still love each other and are part of their lives, but Reggie spends six months out of the year in New Orleans, so it's tough."

THE APOLOGY...
In case you haven't already seen it, Chris Brown issued his first public apology for what happened between he and Rihanna earlier this year.
Now that Breezy has apologized for what happened with Rihanna, I just need to know who is going to take responsibility for letting this good brother come out of the house with that damn REd Velved cake shirt on! Looks like somethin that Tommy from Martin would wear.

NORE SPEAKS ON THE "GAY" RAPPER IN HIP HOP
Nore talks about Gays in the Hip Hop community. He claims that he has worked with a gay rapper in the past, but refuses to give the person's name.
When I go through my mental rolodex of possible gay Nore collaborators I think I'm gonna take Busta Rhymes for $500 Alex.
Now when he goes into the current gay rapper I think he is referring to either Kanye or Diddy...
"The gay community is here," Nore said in an interview. "It's not secretive. When you're in the industry and the minute you make a certain amount of money, you cannot avoid it...And the craziest thing in the world is you get used to it...They don't bother you, son, most gay men don't like straight guys...I have recorded, not with people who are openly gay, but people who are closet gays. I've got songs, you know, Google it. I'm positive I have worked with a gay rapper. I didn't know [beforehand] but when I found out, I didn't jump off a diving board into a pool full of sharks. It is what it is...I'm sure my sexuality messing with b*tches does not make them mad...There is [a successful gay rapper out now] and he won't get me to say the name. Once he's a success story to the point where he can't be stopped, then yeah, he's gonna come out the closet...It's not a big secret, everybody is gonna be like, 'Oh yeah, I knew that.'"

NIA LONG THROWS SHOTS AT BEYONCE?!?!?!
Nia Long recently spoke to a magazine from the UK called Pride about how it feels to see singers landing major acting roles.
“I didn’t see (Beyonce's) ‘Obsessed,’ so I can’t comment” she says “but it’s just not about how talented you are anymore. It’s about, ‘How much box-office revenue will this person generate?’ When you see certain people – we won’t name names – they just don’t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, ‘You need acting
classes’”
I can't hate on Nia for feeling this way. She has spent years perfecting her craft and then end up losin a role to

NAS TELLS HIS SIDE OF THE STORY

Nas has responded to the financial requests made to a judge by his wife Kelis in their pending divorce.
He disclosed his earning to a judge in an attempt to prove that he is not worth as much money as Kelis would lead the public to believe. He says that instead of the $11 million deal that Kelis claimed he signed with Def Jam, he only made about $4 millie off of the contract.
Esco also tells the court that his monthly income is $147, 165 while his expenses total around $71, 371.96 which includes about $10,000 on personal grooming.
Kelis is petitioning the courts to have Nas pay all pregnancy-related expenses, half of all medical expenses after the baby is born, child support, and spousal support to maintain the life she lead while married.
Nas expressed his intent to be fully involved with the child's life and also pay child support in the amount of $5,000 a month.

JAY-Z BACK ON TOP OF THE FORBES LIST

Jay-Z has reclaimed his spot at the top of the Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings list. The magazine recently released it's list of Hip Hop's top earners.
Hova raked in a reported $35 million starting in June 2008, from touring and other business ventures. Although his earnings were down substantially from last year's $85 million, he still managed to edge out fellow mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, who came in at No. 2, with $30 million. Third place went to Kanye West with a respectable $25 million, earned through profits from his '808's and Heartbreaks' album and 'Glow In The Dark' tour. 50 Cent landed at No. 4 with approximately $20 million, a steep drop from $100 million in 2007.

Not that I was looking for him or anything, but rapper Loon has been found. He's not practicing Islam and focusing on becoming a better Muslim...Interesting! Guess since Mase has decided to start raping again, Loon figured this would be the perfect time to come out with his new found religious beliefs.

B.E.T FIGHTING TO SAVE THE GAME

B.E.T. is doing every thing it can to breathe life into the TV show "The Game."
Sources are saying that the entire cast is down to return to the show if it makes it's return on B.E.T for a forth season.
There are some issues between BET and CBS studios in reference to licensing. Since BET has picked up the first two seasons of the show in syndication that should be an easy hurdle to cross because the licensing fees will be significantly less when airing new episodes.
If BET were to pick up the show, it would still air in it's 30 minute sitcom format as opposed to the one hour "Dramady" that was being proposed when the shows creators were attempting to keep it on the CW.

AN END OF AN ERA...THE LAST ISSUE OF VIBE

Vibe magazine announced that it was shutting down it's doors earlier this week. The Dream and Christina Milian cover the final issue of the magazine that Quincy Jones built.
The magazine's CEO released a statement to employees announcing the end of an era.
Dear VIBE Team:
It is with a heavy heart that I share some tough news, VMG is closing down effective today, June 30th.
It’s been an 16 incredible years since VIBE’s inception. There are very few magazines with the richness of history and breadth of talented visionaries who created the powerful lens in which VIBE viewed and shaped urban music and culture.
Ever since I first set foot in this courageous company, I’ve regarded myself as incredibly fortunate to be be involved with this remarkable brand and group of individuals whose performance has never been nothing short of outstanding. We finished 2008 in an improved position versus the prior year, and accomplished so much, including:
* Editorial Awards
* Editorial transformation into content dept
* New Ad accounts being broken
* The Most Mag Launch
* Award winning re-design
* Profitable digital operation
* VIBE.com growth and improvements and programs such as Best Rapper Ever, #1 Stan, etc
* Mobile VIBE launch
* Micro-site development Mostmag.com to start off.
* V Sessions
* Improved PR coverage
Unfortunately, over the last several months, a confluence of events has obviously posed VMG to exceedingly serious challenges.
* The collapse of the capital markets has impacted us greatly. Over the past several months, we have actively pursued investment resources while working intensively with our bank to find a solution. But the deal market right now remains very poor and at the end of the day, the lack of investment resources to restructure the huge debt on our small company has made this outcome become a reality.
* The print advertising collapse hit VIBE hard, especially as key ad categories like automotive and fashion, which represented the bulk of our top 10 advertisers, have stopped advertising or gone out of business. It’s also unfortunate that in a recession many companies reduce the multi-cultural campaigns. These facts, coupled with the continuing decline of the music industry not to mention the newsstand wholesaler consolidation in early 2009 all negatively impacted our business in a significant way.
* The relentless economic situation has depressed our growth initiatives on the digital front. To be clear, VMG has made significant improvement in this part of our business, but not at the accelerated pace required to offset the devastating effects of the most severe recession in our lifetime and the accompanying print losses.
I want to thank you all for your hard work and commitment, and for all of the adventures along the way. I’ll miss this place a lot, but I’ll miss you all and the magic you create.
Vibe will be remembered as a shockingly brilliant content company that everyone can be proud of and I look forward with great excitement to all of future endeavors you all pursue.
With great affection and respect –
Steve Aaron
former CEO of VIBE Media Group
