Former NBA player, and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley was arrested for driving while impaired earlier this morning.
Chuck was driving in Scottsdale, Arizona when cops allegedly noticed him run a stop sign. He was pulled over and asked to take a breathalyzer test which he refused to do. The former Phoenix Suns player was then taken by the police to a mobile command post where he received a blood alcohol test.
After taking the test, he was issued a citation and released pending the results of the test.
If found guilty, the man once known as the 'Round Mound of Rebound' will face between 1 and 10 days in prison and a $1,000 fine

JENA 6 TEEN ATTEMPTS SUICDE
One of the teens who was involved with the Jena 6 fiasco has once again found himself on the wrong side of the law.
Mychal Bell was one of six teenagers who was imprisoned in 2007 for a school fight between black and white teenagers in Jena, La. The fight, and the teens subsequent arrest led to a historic civil rights march in Jena attended by over 20,000 people who demanded that Bell and his teenage Co-Defendants all be released from prison due to the racially biased treatment that they were receiving.
Bell, who once faced charges of attempted murder for the fight in Jena came face to face with the long arm of the law once again this year on Christmas Eve. Allegedly, Bell was caught shoplifting some shirts and jeans from an area department store. When he was approached by the store's security, he fled the scene and hid under a car. Bell was later captured by the store's security and local police. Reportedly, Bell then swung at one of the arresting officers and struck him in the face with an elbow. He was apprehended and later released on $1,300 bond.
On Monday, the 18 year old Bell was rushed to a Monroe, LA hospital after shooting himself in the chest with a .22 caliber firearm. Bell is believed to have shot himself because he did not want to cope with the media coverage that he was getting from his latest arrest. His wounds are not believed to be life threatening, but no other details on his condition have been released.

FORMER FAMILY MATTERS STAR PREGNANT
You might remember seeing child star Jaimee Foxworth on Vh1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew last season. After years of fighting an addiction to marijuana and other drugs, Jaimee went on the show as a way to conquer some of her demons.
In a statement released earlier today, Jaimee announced that she and her longtime boyfriend are expecting their first child together. The 29 year old Foxworth recently said “I haven’t been this happy in years"when asked about the pregnancy.
You might remember that after leaving Family Matters, Jaimee lost all of her money and had to resort to doin somethin strange for a piece of change in order to make ends meet.

2 YEAR OLD KILLED @ THE HOME OF LIL BOOSIE
A 2 year old who was attending a party at the home of rapper Lil Boosie was killed this week. Some reports say that the little girl was actually Boosie's daughter, but that has not yet been confirmed.
R.I.P EARTHA KITT
Eartha Kitt died today after fighting a long battle with colon cancer. The woman who once starred as cat woman on the TV show Batman was 81 years old.

JOHN FORTE IS FREE AT LAST
Christmas came a little early this year for former Refugee All-Star John Forte. Forte was released from New Jersey's Fort Dix prison today after serving 7 years hard times.
Thanks to George W. Bush, Forte was pardoned from a 14 year sentence in the last few months of G.W's term in office.
Forte's harsh sentence came after federal authorities busted him with 31 lbs of liquid coke at New Jersey's Newark International Airport back in 2000.
After his release he will still be subject to 5 years probation.

Now that's not the worst part. The worst part is that his camera man wasn't ready when Jones walked out of the studio...Overall a 7.25 on the Fuckery scale.

If you thought you were going to see less of Beyonce in 2009, you can think again. Bust It Baby Bey is coming right back in April 09 with her new movie 'Obsessed.'
This thriller features Bey staring as the wife of a character played by Idris Elba or Skringa Bell as most of us know him. Things start to fall apart between the couple as Elba's character has an encounter with another woman who just won't leave him alone.
The movie itself looks good, Bey's acting skills in this one might be up for debate..Watch the trailer and tell me what you think.

DOUG E. FRESH LOSING HIS HOME...
Looks like this recession is about to claim another casualty. Legendary rapper Doug E. Fresh is facing foreclosure on three of his homes in Harlem, NY. Doug E's financial hardship doesn't just stop there, he is also reportedly in debt to American Express for about $60,000. Reports also say that he owes about $1.73 millie in back taxes to the state of NY.
SIMMONS SISTERS SPIN OFF...
MTV has expanded it's roster of NON music related shows by giving the Simmons Sisters their own show. Daddy's Girls, which will be a spin off of Run's House will show the sisters living the life in Los Angeles. The show will begin airing in January, and will show the two sisters working and playing in L.A. while living with their cousin Jessica and a new friend Aliceia.

CHARGES AGAINST MAN WHO TRIED TO BLACK MAIL ALLEN IVERSON DROPPED
Allen Iverson's one time friend Andre "Artie" Steele has escaped prosecution in the case that was brought him for allegedly attempting to black mail A.I. back in March.
Virginia Beach prosecutors have dropped an extortion charge against a 38-year-old Hampton man accused of attempting to shake down NBA star and Peninsula native Allen Iverson.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Phillip C. Hollowell tried to delay Monday’s hearing until the completion of the NBA season — saying he and Iverson had not had a chance to discuss the case.
A Virginia Beach Circuit Court judge would not delay the case. The charge can still be brought back at a later date, but a new indictment would have to be filed.
My sources tell me that Artie's problems all stem from a problem that he has with putting a certain white substance in his nose. He had been stealing from A.I. for a while, and got upset when the NBA star cut him off.
T-BOZ SAYS SHE ISN'T HOMELESS...
Last week, the word on the curb was that the Atlanta home belonging to T-Boz was being foreclosed on. Well, Tionne has sat down with Essence magazine to dispel these nasty rumors.
ESSENCE.COM: Well, there have been reports that a Georgia property of yours is going into foreclosure. Is that true?
T-BOZ: No, I'm not homeless. During my last marriage [to Mack 10], I had a bunch of things that were put in my name. If one of those properties is going into foreclosure then I don't know. Although I've been divorced for five years, there are still a lot of things I'm dealing with on getting straight in that regard. All I know is that the house I live in with my daughter is not. When you pull up my name, my real house doesn't show up because it's not in my real name, because I enjoy my privacy and I'm not trying to have people be able to find me that easily.
ESSENCE.COM: There were also reports of you losing a home in Houston?
T-BOZ: I've never owned a home in Houston. I closed a store in Houston, Chase's Closet, where I sold girls and boys clothing from infants to 12 years. The store is named after my daughter, Chase. For now, I only have the online store (chasescloset.com).
ESSENCE.COM: That explains the locale. Did you see the photos they had of you that were allegedly in front of your Houston home begging for donations?
T-BOZ: It's almost a waste of energy to give an explanation, but I'll just say that the [blogosphere] loves to make up things. I remember that photo and it was on Craiglist.com showing me holding up an autographed picture on the internet saying, "If you come to this address with cash we'll give you an autographed picture." The only thing that irritated me was that they said that the proceeds would be donated to St. Jude's [Children's Research Hospital]. I can take people talking about me all day, but don't use my name to make fun of sick children because that's beyond low and sick. I was a sick kid for a long time, in and out of the hospital most of my life battling my sickle cell, so I don't find anything funny about that kind of joking. Why would anyone target innocent sick children to make fun of? That's not cool at all. I mean someone actually took the time to make up all this stuff.
ESSENCE.COM: How do you think the rumor began?
T-BOZ: Honestly, I don't know. Ever since the news that TLC went bankrupt back in the day, I suppose everyone wants to believe that we are all struggling, but we're doing fine. And if it were true, does it really matter? All those things are material. I get that negativity and violence sells, so people just stick to that formula. I'm just trying to live life and raise a little a girl that I was told I couldn't have because of my sickle cell disease. I'm trying to do something that matters and make a difference with diseases. When I think about having my organs fail, my heartbeat stop and then begin again, this stuff is so trivial and I'm shocked that people believe everything they read because so much of it is far-fetched. My friends call me a miracle, and I am because there were so many times I almost didn't make it when I was dealing with my sickness, but I'm doing so much better and I can only thank God.

DON'T GO CHASIN WATERFALLS...
Because this recession has claimed another victim. Reports surfaced today that TLC member T-Boz is facing some financial issues and is facing a home foreclosure. T-Boz, real name Tionne Watkins is the owner of a 10,000 square foot, five-bedroom Atlanta area mansion.
It looks like the rumors that started floating around earlier this year about Watkin's financial woes were true because her home is going up for auction in January. Sources say that she defaulted on a $530,000 loan.

Earl's lawyer told the judge that he was in a rehab facility and not able to attend any court hearings.

PROOF THAT BIGGIE WROTE FOR KIM AND CEASE
I'm sure you all are familiar with the term "Ghost Writer" where a rapper has someone else write a verse for them, and then goes into the booth and spits the rhymes themselves.
It's no secret that Biggie was Lil Kim's ghost writer. When you listen to her first CD, Hardcore you can hear Big's signature rhyme pattern over most of the songs.
Sometimes, after an artist ghost writes a song, they will actually go in the studio and record what is called a reference track of the song for the person who is going to be performing it.
Well someone has dug up some old reference tracks that Biggie recorded for Lil Kim and Lil Cease of Junior Mafia.

R.I.P. MR. BENTLEY
Paul Benedict who played Mr. Bentley on the Jeffersons was found dead at Martha's Vineyard earlier this week. He was 70 years old.

Real Housewives of ATL star Nene has released a statement refuting the claims that she and her family were evicted from their Atlanta area home recently.
“The recent rumors alleging that my family faced an eviction are a huge misunderstanding and grossly inaccurate, I am truly blessed to enjoy a wonderful life and lifestyle. Ladies, it looks like your gay boyfriend has gone and gotten himself a TV show. Hairstylist Dwight Eubanks, who always seemed to have Nene's back on Real Housewives of ATL may have permed himself into reality TV super stardom. The new show entitled "Behind The Purple Door" will follow Dwight as he runs his prestigious hair salon in Atlanta. According to the creators of the show, a deal is in the works to bring the show to the small screen very soon.
