MAN CONVICTED OF MURDERING T.I.'S BEST FRIEND

A jury in Cincinnati has convicted Hosea Thomas in the murder of T.I.'s best friend Philant Johnson. On Friday, Thomas who is 35 years old was found guilty on all charges relating to the incident which include murder.

In the prosecution's case, they argued that Thomas and his brother got into an altercation with TI's entourage over access to the VIP area of a club back in 2006. The two brothers then followed TIP's van onto the interstate and began firing shots, fatally wounding TIP's best friend Philant JOhnson.

Thomas will face 20 years to life when he is sentenced on December 23rd.

BIG KUNTRY AND ALFAMEGA SPEAK ABOUT DIRTY AWARDS

So many funny comments are made in these two interviews, I am not quite sure which ones to point out. The fact that Alfamega has to take a breath after every word, and sounds like a fat boy who just walked up eight flights of stairs is funny enough for me. But then when he goes on to talk about the fight at The Dirty Awards, the comedy gets even better.

We all know by now that a little scuffle ensued between T.I.'s Grand Hustle camp and Shawty Lo's D4l goons at the Dirty Awards last weekend right. I havent spent much time on it, because I just feel like right now there too many other important issues that need to be covered instead of these ignant negroes poking their chests out over some silly rap beef...So what I am gonna do is give you a real quick re cap of what I think happened according to the pictures below.

Okay, in this pic you will see T.I.,and Alfamega observing Shawty Lo perform. Now I believe that in this picture T.I. had just broke the news to Alfamega that somebody in Shawty Lo's camp just ate the last poke chop sammich backstage.

Now right here, you can't see it, but dude in the orange shirt is actually waving the bone from said poke chop sammich in the air like he just don't care while Shawty Lo and his crew are explaining to Alfamega that they also is no more red Kool Aid left in the backstage area.
Lo is telling him that he has approximately 1 minute to get backstage before his boys smoke the last bag of complimentary weed that the Dirty Awards usually provides all of it's performers.
Now as you can see...TIP and the Grand Hustle Family hit the stage in a flash in search of that weed...But by the look on Clifford's face, you can tell that all that was left was some seeds and an empty box of Vanilla Dutch Masters.
Alfamaga, still in search of that poke chop sammich got held up by Atlanta's finest Top Flight Security when he tried to eat some of their doughnuts instead.
As you can see, all the fat boys who were at the awards decided out to come out and sumo wrestle over them doughnuts.
Dude in the "A" hat is looking at Mega with the side eye like " This nigga know he aint fitna do nothin' shawty"

Then finally one of the cops decided that he had had enough and he was going to take the whole damn backstage buffet home to his wife and 2 kids...so he started spraying his mace...
And spraying...
And spraying some more...
Until finally Alfamega's head was cracked open...Unfortunately, there was no poke chop sammiches left and everyone went home disappointed

It is being reported that 15 year rap veteran M.C. Breed has passed away. Breed had been placed on life support after collapsing due to kidney failure during a game of pick up basketball. A few days later, Breed's condition improved, and he was taken off of life support.


Breed was a rap veteran who recorded with artists like Too $hort and Tupac.

THE ROOTS INVOLVED IN BUS ACCIDENT

Legendary Philly Hip Hop group The Roots were involved in an accident while riding in their tour bus in Paris, France last Friday.

The Roots drummer Quest Love has made a statement to Okayplaer.com telling everyone that the group members are fine. In the statement, Questo says that "My first thought was not move a f*cking inch. "I always had fear that we would fall off a cliff while in high mountain traveling like Denver or Switzerland. I couldn't tell where gravity began and ended. I just wanted someone to calmly tell me the weight of my body was NOT going to push us down a mountainside. Then i wanted assurance that the bus was NOT going to explode."

Group members were taken to a hospital for evaluation. "As for the future? If we make it to our slot on the "Glow in the Dark" tour in Paris that too will be a miracle," he said. "Til then just wanna let everyone know that we are happy to be alive. And not in that TV cliche way....but man.....that was divine intervention. We are so grateful for this outcome,"said Quest.

AL QAEDA SENDS A MESSAGE TO THE PRESIDENT

The Al Qaeda leader is known as Osama Bin Laden's second in charge has released a statement to the new President elect Barack Obama. In a videotape message, Ayman al-Zawahiri, spoke about his dislike for Obama and other African American leaders.

"You have reached the position of president, and a heavy legacy of failure and crimes awaits you. A failure in Iraq to which you have admitted, and a failure in Afghanistan to which the commanders of your army have admitted," the message said.

The speaker also said Obama, former and current secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, and "your likes" fit Malcolm X's description of "house slaves.

BATTLE OF THE COMPUTER LOVES

It was only a matter of time before the T-Pain I meanTeddy Riley Damnit...I mean Rodger Troutman song Computer Love was remade for a new generation of music lovers to enjoy.

We have the pleasure of having not one but two different remakes of this song. One by Ghostface, and the other by Lil Kim and T. Pain.

Ghost's version of the song is made in that classic Tony Starks way that can only be pulled off by the Ironman. He doesn't even bother looping a certain part of the beat, or chopping up the sample...He just goes in and rhymes over the original version of the song. This is one of those things that only Ghost can get away with. Thankfully, Ghost did not play himself and add the vocoder to his voice, even though I believe that if he did, he would probably be able to pull it off.


GHOSTFACE - "COMPUTER LOVE"

The second version of the song is a little more original than Ghost's version, but Kim's lackluster lyrics don't do the song any real justice. I think it's too much of a given to have T-Pain singing the hook. I personally would have liked to see Kim stepped out of the norm a little more on this one. The beat is a little different, but if I had to choose between the two, I would give my vote to Ghost.

Well at least that is what Dame Dash seems to think. The NY Daily News is reporting that in a recent interview with Complex magazine, Dame Dash claims that Kanye is still upset about an incident that happened in Chicago a few years ago when Ye first joined the ROC.

Dash claims that Jay refused to give Kanye a chain when the announcement was made that Ye was the newest member of the team. Dame says that he had to take off his own chain and give it to Kanye. He told the magazine “That shit cost $40,000,I told Kanye, ‘Yo you got to give me that back when we get off stage.’”

When Kanye was given the chain it was featured in the video for Through The Wire. You can see that Dame is actually the one who gives the chain to Kanye. I think Dame needs to focus on how to stop his truck from being repossessed before he brings up these old issues.

Jaden will play the role of a child who must learn to stand up for himself with the help of his martial arts mentor.

PREVIEW TONIGHT'S EPISODE OF REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA

I told yall a few weeks ago that Real Housewives of Atlanta was my my new favorite show. I have been watching the show since it started airing a few weeks ago.

On tonight's episode, DeShawn invites the girls over for a backyard BBQ. NeNe and Lisa show up, but Kim and Sheree get held up when they go out for a boat ride to a secluded island and get stranded when the boat's engine stalls.

Tonight's episode also brings an answer to the question of NeNe's paternity, as the identity of her father is revealed.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs tonight at 10pm on Bravo.

R. KELLY'S NEPHEWS ARRESTED

Police in Calumet City, Illinois have arrested two of R. Kelly's nephews in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last week. According to reports, cops suspect that either 15 year old Brayel Kelly, or his brother Brandon went into a barbershop and robbed it after receiving a haircut. The suspect allegedly demanded that the shop owner put his money and jewelry into a plastic bag.

After complying with the robbers request, the owner pulled out his own gun and shot the suspect twice.

Brayel Kelly suffered a collapsed lung and damaged liver as the bullets hit him in the chest and abdomen.

HUDSON MURDER SUSPECT REMAINS IN CUSTODY

William Balfour, the main person of interest in the murder of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother, and nephew will remain in prison while Chicago police continue to build a strong case against him.

Balfour is being held in custody on a parole violation. Balfour's girlfriend testified that she saw him with a handgun matching the one used in the Hudson murders. He is also being held on parole violations stemming from an arrest that found him in an area where drugs are sold while in possession of crack.

Funeural services were held today for former Def Jam Vice President Shakir Stewart. Stewart's body was found last Saturday in his Atlanta area home after an apparent suicide.

Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin sent her “sincere and heartfelt condolences” to his family.

Morehouse College offered its King’s Chapel for the 1996 graduate’s service.

And Atlanta’s Grammy-wining R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo performedthe tear-jerker “It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday” in tribute.

But what probably resonated the most about the public memorial for Atlanta music executive Shakir Stewart Friday afternoon were the personal memories shared by those within his industry, who knew and loved the 34-year-old.

The chapel of artists (LL Cool J, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Chrisette Michele), politicians (Atlanta City Councilman Ceasar Mitchell, and fellow mayoral candidate, state Sen. Kasim Reed), fellow executives (Island Def Jam’s Steve Bartels and Karen Kwak) and industry tastemakers (MTV’s Fonzworth Bentley, BET’s Kenny Burns, DJ Toomp, DJ Don Cannon, Big Oomp, Isaac Hayes III) laughed along with Christopher Hicks as he imitated his friend “Shake’s” signature cool whisper from the podium. And when Shawn “Pecas” Costner recalled that the highlight of Island Def Jam Music Group’s annual Christmas party was what the executive vice president of Def Jam Recordings would wear.

“Was that a red velvet blazer?” Costner asked out loud. “With fur?!”

The crowd stood on its feet, arms raised, shouting “Hallelujah!” as Ted Lucas took on the role of powerful preacher, shouting “Thank you Lord!” at the podium, off the stage and out the chapel door.

Chicago police are reporting that the 15 year old nephew of R. Kelly was shot twice while apparently attempting to rob a local barbershop. Reportedly, the owner of she shop shot the boy before he could get away. The victims name has not been released but his father Carey the one who R. Kelly said was actually in the tape peeing on that little girlKelly. His father also said that the boy could have been the victim of a robbery, because "People have tried to rob us. Remember early last month, I told you about the tape that Wendy Williams got her hands on that showed a rapper's wife getting her back blown out. Well initially I had thoughts that it was a certain "Fat" rapper who was going to be the victim of the ultimate Ether. After doing a little research, the name Kelis started floating around.

Well it looks like the Bossy one is on the verge of having that milkshake shown to the world.

The dude who is allegedly in the tape with Kelis has been identified as former Ruff Ryder weed carrier recording artist Infra-Red. Please don't rack your brain trying to figure out who dude is, because I don't believe he ever even released a song on the label.

The video in question reportedly shows a sleeping Kelis laying in bed while Infrared looks at a camera and saying "Handle your mother f#*king business. I got your b*&ch here, she getting naked."

Infrared has confirmed that he has had an "encounter" with Kelis, but will not confirm that said tape exists. In an interview with Hip Hop Weekly, Infrared says "" knew Kelis in the hip hop world, and from clubbin', hanging out. I heard that (sex tape) rumor. I don't know (if she was married). She wasn't wearing a wedding ring." He also denies that he has been confronted by Nas about the tape.

BARACK OBAMA LOSES HIS GRANDMOTHER

On the dawn of the most important day in his lifetime, Senator Barack Obama has been
hit with a devastating blow as his grandmother dies from cancer.

Barack Obama's grandmother, whose personality and bearing shaped much of the life of the Democratic presidential contender, has died, Obama announced Monday, one day before the election. Madelyn Payne Dunham was 86.

Obama announced the news from the campaign trail in Charlotte, N.C. The joint statement with his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng said Dunham died peacefully late Sunday night after a battle with cancer.

They said: "She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances."

Obama learned of her death Monday morning while he was campaigning in Jacksonville, Fla. He planned to go ahead with campaign appearances. The family said a private ceremony would be held later.

DETAILS EMERGING ON THE DEATH OF SHAKIR STEWART

There have been a few details released in the death of Def Jam VP Shakir Stewart.

On Sunday, Stewart’s family released a statement about the executive’s death. “We would like to thank Shakir’s friends for the tremendous outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time,” the statement from Stewart’s fiancée, Michelle Rivers, and family read. “It has helped us to cope with our overwhelming grief and sadness. It is difficult to express or explain in words what led to the tragic occurrence on Saturday. Over the past several weeks, Shakir’s behavior was inconsistent with the man we all know and love. As much as we all tried to help him, Shakir was in deep pain and largely suffering in silence. Please remember Shakir for who he was … a wonderful father, partner, son and friend.” According to Georgia’s Cobb County police, 34-year-old Stewart— who died Saturday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, reportedly shot himself with a handgun in the bathroom of his house con Lindsey Drive in Marietta, Georgia. Stewart was pronounced dead at Kennestone Hospital later that day. “Whatever happened over the past 24 hours is not a testament to who we all know,” Christopher Hicks, a music executive and longtime friend of Stewart, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Sunday. Police have not confirmed who found Stewart’s body, or any motives leading up to the suicide.

I don't know why this brother decided to take his life, but my thoughts and prayers definitely go out to his family.

DEF JAM VICE PRESIDENT COMMITS SUICIDE

Def Jam Executive Vice President Shakir was reportedly found dead earlier today at his home in Atlanta. Stewart, who replaced Jay Z as the H.N.I.C. at Def Jam earlier this year was killed by what is being called a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Def Jam released a report on the unfortunate incident today.

"L.A. Reid and all of us at Island Def Jam Music Group are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and colleague Shakir Stewart," read a statement sent from the label today. "Shakir was an amazing man in every sense of the word. A truly incredible friend and father who was an inspiration to not only our artists and employees, but to his family and the many people that had the privilege of counting him as a friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family at this very difficult time."

Stewart who was a Morehouse graduate was most recently responsible for over seeing
Young Jeezy,LL Cool J.and Nas's latest projects.
