If there is one thing in the world that I love more than a Big Butt and a smile, it's NBA Playoff basketball. Even though it's still kinda early in the playoffs, the games have been filled with drama.
Boston Celtics superstar Paul Pierce has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for allegedly throwing up a gang sign to an opponent who was doing some heavy trash talking.
In game three of the Celtics vs. Hawks playoff series, Pierce got into a small altercation with Al Horford. After Horford made a three point play and yelled in Pierce's face, Paul walked towards him and flashed what appeared to be the same hand gesture used by the California gang The Piru Bloods.
NBA league officials have obviously been brushing up on their West Coast gang knowledge, because I saw the actual gesture and a gang sign was the absolute LAST thing that I would have thought Pierce was doing. But, Pierce is from the Oakland, Ca area and from what I understand he is still deeply rooted in the community out there.
Anyway, check out the video below and decide for yourself.
