Vick's legal troubles. He takes it upon himself to say some things that the prosecution probably had no idea about. Now...If this were an episode of Sanford and Son, Fred would just call Lamont a Big Dummy, go get a bottle of Ripple and a bowl of Onion Dip and sit his ass down in front of the TV until he fell asleep. Well Michael Boddie aint no Fred G. Sanford. Heres what the Atlanta newspaper reports:

Michael Boddie in two sometimes tearful interviews with the Atlanta Journal Constitution this week said, some time around 2001 his son staged dogfights in the garage of the family's home in Newport News, Va. Boddie also said Vick kept fighting dogs in the family's backyard, including injured ones — "bit up, chewed up, exhausted" — that the father nursed back to health.

Boddie, who is estranged from his son, dismissed the idea that Vick's longtime friends were the main instigators of the dogfighting operation.

"I wish people would stop sugarcoating it," Boddie said. "This is Mike's thing. And he knows it."

He "likes it, and he has the capital to have a set up like that."

Daniel Meachum, an attorney for Vick, said his client never mentioned situations described by Boddie, nor discussed Boddie in relation to dog activities. "It's a disgrace Mr. Boddie, who chose for nearly 22 years not to be part of Mike's life, would at this time seek to capitalize on his son's current situation."

TV EVANGELIST ASSAULTED BY HER HUSBAND

Many may know Juanita Bynum as the author of "No More Sheets:The Truth About Sex." This is a very popular book among African American women across America. A few years ago Juanita got married to Bishop Thomas Weeks. Well the couple had been going through some problems lately, and recently seperated.

Tuesday night the two met at a restaurant inside of an Atlanta hotel to try and talk about their differences. Well somewhere between the appetizers and the dessert something went wrong. According to Atlanta police, Bishop Weeks attacked Juanita in the parking lot of the hotel. In a statement to police, Reverend Bynum said her husband, Thomas Weeks, "choked her, pushed her down, kicked her and stomped her in the Renaissance parking lot." One of the hotel's bell boys had to stop Ike and Annie Mae from rumbling.

TMZ is reporting that after a hearing this morning, a NYC judge has thrown Foxy Brown in the clink. Judge Melissa Jackson ordered Foxy to be held in jail until her next hearing on September 7th. Brown was on probation for a previous assault, but she has been in trouble with the law within the last few days. Fox tried to explain to the judge that she was three months pregnant but Your Honor was NOT trying to hear it.

I've been following the story of the Jena 6 for a few weeks now and I haven't posted anything about it yet because I wanted to see how and if the Black Community would respond. Sometimes you gotta take a break from the world of entertainment and gossip and inform the people of the things that are really releavent in our community.

The Jenna 6 is a group of high school teenagers in Jenna, Louisiana who's lives have been turned upside down by the racist pactices of the town. Watch these two videos to get an idea of the types of racial injustices that are still going on in 2007. After watching these videos you should have some sense of wanting to do something to help. This situation could happen to any one of us, because racisim is definitelly still alive and kicking in 2007.


Wanna know how you can help???? Well...heres my suggestion. Call your local news paper, your local TV stations and ask them why they are covering Mike Vick's dogfighting case every hour on the hour while six black students rot in jail over some bogus charges. Also, you can call your state senators and congressmen and ask them to act on the situation. You may remember that a few days ago I hit The Ill Na Na with the "Hoe Sit Down" award for the week. Well, obviously she didn't take my advice. Foxy is facing new charges after being stopped by police last Wednesday. Foxy was pulled over for talking on her cell phone while driving, she then decided to give the cops a fake name and date of birth. Once the officer ran the license plate he found out that the info that Fox gave was false and the registration for her Land Rover was invalid. Once she finally gave the officer her real name,he found out that her license was suspended.

I have never heard of the magazine, but I assume it's geared toward the gay community because they asked Eve some questions that most journalists couldn't get away with. I wonder why they didn't bring that picture that was circulating a few years ago of Eve getting ate out by another chick. Well since they didn't bring it up...I WILL!!!! At what point in your career did you know the gay community supported you?
I feel like they have always supported me from the time I came out. I always felt good if a gay person gave me props. Honestly, I feel like if a gay person gives you props, you must be doing something right. That’s just real, and I always felt like that. I wish I remembered this drag queen’s name…I was in downtown New York and she pulled me to the side and she was like, “Girl, you are hot! Okay? You don’t let nobody tell you different!” I loved it! I was like, “Thank you!” I’m happy I have the support.

Yeah, I guess, but I don’t think about it like that. But, yeah, I definitely do.

Who’s the most important gay person in your life?
I don’t have any best [gay] friends or a “talk on the phone” kind of thing. It’s more business—friendship business.

Do you get approached a lot by women?
Yeah, I used to more when I first came out. I’ve had people tell me straight up and down that I was gay—I still get it from people. I get more accusations than I actually do get hit on now.

Did it make you uncomfortable?
Gay women are way more aggressive than men—I will definitely say that. [Laughs] But it doesn’t bother me. I’ve never been disrespected in any way. If I’m like, “Yo, I get it, but I don’t swing that way,” then it’s all love.

Sizzla, one of the guest artists on your album, is known for his anti-gay lyrics and was even protested in the U.K. and in France. How do you reconcile that with your gay fan base?
That’s his personal thing. I’m a huge fan of Sizzla, but anybody who knows the Jamaican community knows that is something they don’t accept, they don’t like—it’s been like that for years. Do I agree with his lyrics? No! It’s kind of sad, because on the other side of him being negative about gay issues, he is one of the reggae artists known to be more conscious and talk about positive things. At the end of the day, it’s not for me to defend him—he has to defend himself.

Why doesn’t the hip-hop community want gay support?
Trust me, I’ve heard of and know of some instances of people in the industry who are gay or who have participated in certain situations. It’s a male-dominated industry, and for some reason they just don’t want to talk about it. I don’t understand why—I guess it’s a macho thing. It’s ridiculous to me. Me, I love it. The more support for me, the better!

So those stories about closeted gay or bisexual rappers in hip-hop aren’t just rumors?
I can say of one specific situation that I know for sure.

Who is your celebrity girl-crush?
My girl crush is Angelina Jolie. That’s an everybody girl-crush— that’s my dog’s crush! [Laughs] There is one more person: Dita Von Teese. I’m obsessed with her! I want a Dita Von Teese doll and I’ll be happy. She’s just bananas!

Forbes Magazine released its first ever list of Hip Hop Cash Kings. The person who grossed the most last year might surprise you. It's not Cuuuurtis, but none other than the Jigga Man himself. Jay-Z tops the list by earning an estimated $34 million last year. Thanks to business ventures such as The 40/40 club and endorsement deals with Hewlett Packard, Budweiser, and General Motors, Jay earned more than any other Hip Hop Mogul in 2006.

Surprisingly, Cuuurtis came in second place on the list. He made an estimated $32 million last year. I know a lot of people are wondering what happened with the Vitamin Water Deal. Well sources say that Fif is only going to collect $100 mill from that deal, and he has actually not collected it yet. That is why it wasn't factored into his earnings. FOXY PUTS THE SMACK DOWN

Foxy Brown turned herself in to Brooklyn police yesterday on charges of felony assault, menacing, harrasment, and criminal posession of a weapon. Allegedly. Foxy smacked a neighbor in the face with her Blackberry after an argument. The woman later called the police and reported the assault. The victim also had to be hospitalized because her lips and eyes were swolen and there were also some damage done to her teeth. Foxy was arraigned and released on $5,000 bail. Foxy already has some assault charges pending in Florida after she allegedly spit in a woman's face and hit her with some hair glue.

As much as I want to like Foxie she is making it really hard. She hasn't had a decent song out in years and she keeps doin stupid stuff like this. I think I'm gonna go ahead and bless her with the 'Hoe Sit Down Award'

Havoc from Mobb Deep spoke to DJ Whoo Kidd recently. Havoc had some pretty interesting things to say about Da Souf. Havoc kinda contridicts himself throughout the entire interview. The main points that you need to check for is when he disses T.I. and calls him a "Di*khead" and when the caller asks him about the situation with Tru Life. I don't really agree with some of the things that Hav was saying, but his impersonation of Lil Boosie was hillarious.

I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out any more solo albums." Do you think Fif is reall willing to give up recording if Ye outsells him? The Kaaaannnnggg of R& B was spotted out and about in "The A" with his Queen. Bobby and Whitney were spotted at Joe's Crab Shack enjoying dinner earlier this week. The two were said to be looking really "couple like." By this picture I would say they look really "crack fiend like." Cuuurtis wanted to follow up his current string of singles with including "I Get Money" and "Ayo Technology" with this smoothed out soulful track. Unfortunately for Cuuuurtis somebody from Interscope had a different idea. They leaked the video onto the internet with out Fif's permission. Fif is very angry at this situation and allegedly threatening to leave the label over this situation. I'm glad they leaked it, because I really like the song. It's definitely a different sound from Cuuurtis, but he and Robin make it work.

MEL B SECRETLY MARRIED...LAST MONTH!!!

TMZ is reporting that Mel B. has married her new boo Stephen "I'm not Harry's Son" Belafonte. Scary Spice and Belafonte were married last month in a quiet ceremony in Las Vegas. Mel B was scheduled to appear on Larry King Live tonight, but she did not make it because she and her baby were sick. I've been hearing that Stephen is a shady character and has a real checkered past.

Since that day, record sales have steadily declined. KIM PORTER AIRS DIDDY OUT

Puffy's ex boo Kim Porter has done in interview with OK magazine. In the interview she gives some details on some of the things that have gone on between she and Diddy over the years during their on again off again relationship. I personally still that this breakup has publicity stunt written all over it, but I guess only time will tell. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

AYE BAY BAY....GETS CHARGED WITH AYE RAPE RAPE

The person who is partly responsible for the anthem for every club in your city that you are scared to go to may have let his local celebrity status go to his head. Hurricane Chris wrote the song "Aye Bay Bay" as a tribute to a local DJ by the name of Hollywood Bay Bay. H.B.B. was arrested on Monday and charged with simple rape and intimidation of a witness. The cops are saying that a woman was found "drunk and unconcious" at about 4am in club Kokopelli's. Before yall start spreading stuff, Hurricane Chris was NOT involved in the rape. It was his DJ...so be clear on that. I think he should also be charged with having the ugliest DJ name in world. Maybe the Hip Hop Cops can handle that for me.

Wait no more real Hip Hop fans. Com Sense is back and he's bringing the southside with him. The latest effort from this seasoned veteran, "Finding Forever," manages to cohesively blend the mellowness that he's known for, with the grittiness he has learned to incorporate over the last few years. This is one of those joints you'll want to have handy for your next road trip. You will be able to put it on and let it ride. I was slightly concerned at the lengthy intro. I thought our boy may have returned to his Badu days. However, I was quickly reeled back in with the first track, "Start the Show". And thats exactly what it did. This project has many standouts, including the current single, "The People". This track is the perfect example of the overall vibe of the album. The gritty/mellow vibes that is. Another must hear track is "Southside, " featuring Kanye West. Mr. West does handle the majority of the production, but I ain't mad at 'em because the two seem to be proving that they are one of the illest combinations in the game. The project is peppered with just a few other producers. Will.i.am lends the melodic "I Want You," and the late, great, J. Dilla left us with "So Far To Go". On this track, they even manage to hit us off with vocals from D'Angelo himself. Who, after being in seclusion the last few years, could use the exposure. Best samples on this project go to "Break My Heart" and "Misunderstood". I am love, love, loving the Nina Simone sample on "Misunderstood". I recommend you cop Common's latest gift to us if you haven't already. Be careful though. This is grown people's Hip Hop, so if you're running around hollerin' bout "AYE BAY BAY," this may not be for you!

The wedding between Tameka and Ursh is back on. I'm really sick of this story, but the two were seen topgether in New York yesterday. Check the story that a source gave to USweekly magazine:<

“People are just hating,” says the insider, who reveals the real reason they postponed the wedding was due to a pre-term labor scare.

According to the Usher source, at noon on Friday, the four-months pregnant Foster was admitted to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City after suffering cramping. But upon examination, says the source, “she learned it was just uneasiness brought on by the stress of the wedding.”

At that point, the singer decided to postpone the ceremony. But no worries.

“Everbody’s fine. Tameka and the baby are fine,” Usher himself told Usmagazine.com on July 31, after the couple arrived via private plane in NYC (and Us got the exclusive photo!).

Foster chimed: “We’re good. We’re all doing great now.”

Meanwhile, another friend of the couple assures Us that there will be an “I do” do-over in the future.

What's going on with the Fugees reunion, or lack there of?

WYCLEF: I'm officially Paul McCartney from the Beatles now. If the Fugees wanna come back, and Lauryn wanna come back…you can't break the format. Don't come back and be like,I wanna produce a beat.That's like me saying I wanna sing an R&B vocal. When we was working on the album, I was like, [to Lauryn],You need to do this like this. [And] she says, How do you know what's relevant? I haven't heard anything from you in the past like three, four years? The minute she said that I was like, I gotta go back to working.

So what's ultimately holding you guys back?
Lauryn is straight up the problem, bro. She wants to be a producer. Don't come telling us how to chop up beats so you can get credit for it.

What makes you think she would take the credit?
We did a remix [with] Lauryn for John Legend, for the record How High.John Legend was saying our names. You know what she had [him] do? She was like,Take off Wyclef and Jerry's names. Because she wanted people to think that she was the one doing the beat…I'm a producer and I'm a beatmaker with my cousin Jerry Wonder, and I'm a writer. She's a writer, a vocalist, [and] a great [vocal] composer. And sh' great at picking out samples she got 20 billion samples but can't chop em up to save her life.
